The Clear Quran Audiobook

We have the technology. 2) the entire audiobook (all the surahs, intros and sub-chapter headings) go just over 22 hours, and are +5GB in total; uncompressed 24-bit PCM audio seems unlikely and I have to question whether it’s necessary to have a single surah be nearly 1GB on its own (I had to offload the app a couple of times due to the failed download, but also didn’t want to re-download the other 4GB in audio files). Overall it’s a 6GB app. Look forward to these changes.

The production quality of this dramatized reading of the Qur’an’s translation is a masterpiece. There are transitions with multiple voice actors when the Qur’an is quoting someone and section headings (not a part of the text) are recited to ease the transition into new topics or shifts in perspective within each chapter. Much work was put into polishing this audio rendition of the Qur’an’s translation and it allows for non-Arabic speakers to understand some semblance of what it means to hear and understand the Qur’an through oral transmission. There is a subscription required for access to all chapters, but Fatiha, Kahf, Yasin, Mulk, Ikhlas, Falaq, and Nas are available for free. A one month subscription is the price of a cup of coffee so it’s definitely worth subscribing to listen to the Qur’an recited throughout the month of Ramadan!

I have been a huge fan of the app before the major update it got, but after the big update I immediately purchased my lifetime subscription. I have purchased numerous audible versions of Quran English translations, and non of them ever come close to the quality of the Clear Quran audiobook. The app works smoothly and added feature of searching through text makes the experience all the more seamless. The only problem I have with app is that it requires you to be connected to the internet to confirm your subscription. Otherwise, you only get access to the free samples. I don’t always have an internet connection available, and I really download Suras to listen to them offline so I don’t have to use my data on when I’m flying where I don’t have access to the internet. There should be a way around this problem, and I hope it gets fixed in a future update
