TENS!

Update in late July 2018 fixed the “no 1s past first few racks and overabundance of 5/6s thereafter” problem. I can now play the game as it is meant to be played and in my second try have quadrupled my previous high score with no dead ends. MUCH more satisfactory! Former title: Might delete. Would be more fun if 1s showed up This is a reasonably fun game if you like geometry or math-logic games. HOWEVER, I was on my 5th game before getting a 1. And I’ve never gotten a 1 after the 5th rack. As far as I can tell, the next rack/set of dice will be whatever you can’t use, so the best strategy is to stagger placement of varied numbers. But that only works until the racks of all 5s & 6s show up. At that point, no skill is going to help, the game is over. IFF the dice sets become more random & less punitive, AKA GIVE ME A *1* every so often & stop with the racks of 6 to 8 sixes, especially back to back, and I will raise my review from 3 stars. Give me a challenge, not a dead end. As it stands, even after paying the $1.99 to remove ads I find it so punitively annoying there’s a good chance I’ll delete it.

I can’t stop playing this game. I love it! I was recently playing the game TENX which is very similar. With that game you also try to make ten out of the dice horizontally and vertically to clear the board. The goal of that game is just to keep earning points until you run out of moves. What I don’t like about TENZ is how when you clear the board is just keeping going and earning points and that is it. I really like how there is more to this game with the regular version, adventure version and having a large variety of dice to choose from instead of just playing to earn points. I love how the adventure version has where you change a dice if you can’t use it. I wish that the regular version had that as well instead of only being able to change its rotation. I only have a couple dislikes. The main one being how long the ads are in the middle of the game when you are trying to just change the rotation of the dice. The ads are so long I just try not to use that feature. It would be nice if they were a little shorter and have the longer ads between games. Also I like with TENZ you can hover your set of dice over the spot you want to place them and it lets you preview what you totals would be so you could see if that is the best option. All in all I really enjoy this game and would recommend it.

Modifying... a day or two after writing my first review, I was able to rotate without watching anymore ads! I love, love, love this game! I spend too much time playing it, though. 😂 I absolutely love playing this game, but I am probably going to delete it even though I purchased the game to not have ads. That purchase only removed the ad banner across the top that didn’t even bother me. What bothers me is having to watch an ad in order to rotate a puzzle piece. It makes playing the game very time consuming which makes me feel like the developer is inconsiderate (and greedy since I’m sure they get paid for it). Additionally, by the time the ad is over, I have forgotten my strategy. Playing games is supposed to be fun and relaxing. Playing this one is downright frustrating. My suggestion: STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME. You would thank me if you knew what you would be avoiding. Don’t be fooled by the pictures in the App Store... they do not show that you have to watch a movie in order to rotate the pieces. It is really disappointing because this game could have some real educational benefits for my students but I absolutely will not recommend it to anyone.
