At least they give you a 3 day trial so you can actually try it out . Most of these remote apps show an add every 3 seconds. Remote function works ok. But it disconnects when the screen times out. Usable, but barely.
I’m sorry… $7 per week to use a remote control app? For a TV I already bought? That’s almost $30 a month just to change the volume and switch inputs. Not a streaming service. Not premium content. Not some advanced smart home integration. A remote. Control. When did basic functionality become a subscription model? If I lose my physical remote, the backup option should not cost more per month than Netflix. This isn’t innovation. It’s opportunistic. It feels like squeezing customers simply because you can. Companies talk a lot about customer experience and brand loyalty. This is how you lose both. People understand paying for value. But charging weekly for something this fundamental feels tone deaf and frankly insulting. Do better!!!
