Tappsk: ToDo & Habit Tracker

(Isn’t everybody?) I’ve tried at least a dozen of them, including the heavy hitters (Things 3, OmniFocus, TickTick, Todoist) and a bunch of the lesser-knowns like Tappsk. Tappsk lands solidly in the top half of the list. Of course, everybody’s needs and wants are different, so YMMV. Tappsk has a pleasing, clean interface, including (of course) dark mode. It syncs promptly between devices and with 🍎 Calendar. Like TickTick, it has a discrete goals section (which can be hidden if you’re not into that). It runs natively on iPad, iPhone, 🍎 Watch and Mac. Unlike many of the lesser knowns, Tappsk on 🍎 Watch is actually useful - not too tiny to read or cluttered with info I don’t need, just a decently sized checkbox so I can mark off to-do’s on the go without needing to pull out my phone. Of course, there’s always something missing - for me, the option to hide completed entries from the task logbook would be great. I find it useful to be able to quickly check and see if I’ve (for example) paid a particular bill, but it becomes all but useless when cluttered with daily noise like ‘feed the cat’, ‘go for a run’ and a dozen other daily repeating reminders. Also, completed reminders continue to show up on the Apple Watch, forcing you to go into the logbook and delete them there - a tedious one-at-a-time process. Still, a solid app. I’m using it every day and looking forward to see where the devs take this one. ** edit: in response to the devs comment - thank you, but I’m looking specifically for a way to easily exclude (or delete) items from the logbook. I know they can be deleted, but it’s a tedious one-at-a-time process - select, click delete, then acknowledge the “are you sure?” dialog. It’d be helpful if I could at least select multiple entries to delete wholesale. As for marking them ‘disabled’ under tasks - show completed - that hides them from the today view on iPhone and iPad, but does nothing to remove them on Apple Watch. They must first be deleted from the logbook, one by one. Please accept this as my heartfelt request to address these issues. Other than those things of note, I think this is a stellar app!

I've had this app for about a year or more and it has helped me so much with school, work and everyday to-dos and events. If you're looking for an easy to-do list in which you can organize things by day and even indicate its urgency, then you're in the perfect place. It even gives you a chance to categorize everything. One small thing I'd want to tweak is that when I go on one category, it still shows a dot under the number of the day for everything, which makes it a bit confusing when looking at just the one (category), but this is something very minor and does not impact how much I love it! Everything else about this app is simply perfect. Thank you for making it!

I am so impressed with this app that it’s hard to know where to begin. First of all, it looks amazing, super clean and pleasant on the eye. This is crucial when you use an app every day. The set of features is nearly perfect. Enough power to manage your life, but so much that it sends you off the rails. You can’t help but stay focused on what needs to get done, whether you want to or not 😌 It is eminently usable. The learning curve is almost non existent. Everything is where it should be, and everything does what you expect it to do. This is an amazing achievement for an app that is trying to do so much. This app is so innovative that the developer must be a creative genius. The habit ifeature looks like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Habits are treated completely differently than tasks, which is totally appropriate. Yet at the same time they are smoothly integrated and easy to set up. They are beautiful and appealing, which matters when you’re trying to maintain habits. The calendar integration is surprisingly useful and well done. The way your appointments integrare with the to do‘s just feels good. The home screen is also organized in a completely original manner. You have slots for today, tomorrow, this week and later. That is so perfect that I can’t believe no one else is doing it. Lastly, there is a quick way to make new to do‘s using voice input. It doesn’t seem like much, but when you try it you’ll be blown away but how nice and direct it feels. There are other little niceties throughout. Really an amazing achievement. Please give it a try!
