I wanted a German news subscription that would help understand world events from a different lens than US-based news. I appreciate the less hyperbolic headlines (only for clicks) and the in-App ability to translate paragraph long sentences makes learning and understanding easier.

The journalism is superb. The app goes down for unknown reasons, and despite my subscription, I can’t read it on more than one device. However, the journalism and ability to get actual unbiased news make it a must-have.

I like the SZ app as it „guides“ me through the different news area and topics on a very intuitive way. Also, it makes reading the news on my regular-sized phone easy and pleasant.
