Sync - Secure cloud storage

I came across sync looking for an alternative to Dropbox, for security reasons. After hearing stories about employees at other cloud storage providers accessing client information unethically, I went to find a company with better privacy. I am a cyber security nut so this seemed like the right cloud storage solution for me. Great idea and definitely a market for it. I used Dropbox to backup all of my pictures and work projects, so I have a lot of files, and bought the premium version right away for the 2 TB of storage. The problem I have with Sync is when it comes to uploading files. I am not sure what is happening behind the scenes(as a programmer myself), but I hope they fix it because I like the idea of Sync. The problem is when I upload an album of say 100 photos. After some time it will show that the upload is complete, but then when I go to the Sync album it will only have 88 photos in it, even when no errors were shown with the upload. So I try again, and drag the same 100 photos in the album that has 88, and next time it will have 95. One more time - maybe 98, and ect. Some reviews talk about the upload speed being a problem, but that doesn’t concern me as much as the upload accuracy. I want to know that if I upload to Sync, and it says I did it successfully, that it really did upload everything I wanted it to. The files it chooses to not upload seems completely random, as in it doesn’t matter about file type or size. Or if not successfully uploaded, I wish it would say that. I really hope they get this problem figured out, because looking for new storage solutions can be a pain.

It has been very frustrating trying to use this app. Whenever I want to upload something from a browser, like a PDF receipt after purchasing something, and I try to upload to sync, it fails immediately. I have to hit retry and sometimes it works and sometimes it just crashes the app. This has been doing this for so long. It happens every time I try to upload something. Also, when I add a new file to my main sync folder, it never shows up under the recent tab, I have to go digging for it under all of the folders that stay on top on the files tab. This is so frustrating! The upload and sync speeds are also really dreadful and painful. I have been trying to use Sync for business and when I send private secure links to people to open, it’s always a hassle. A simple PDF file takes forever to load. I hope you guys upgrade your servers so you can offer better speeds and I really hope you fix the app issues. It’s painful. I want to keep supporting your company please fix these things! Thanks.

This is a great cloud storage alternative to services like Google Drive and OneDrive, which don't encrypt your files at rest. I've only used the free tier thus far to test it out, and I haven't experienced any syncing issues or any other problems. Also yes, it seems like the app's crashing issues have been resolved. Of course no one will bother to leave an updated review to acknowledge that. The last review before this one was posted in March and there have been several updates since then. If I do experience crashing issues, I'll leave another review and say so.
