Sunwing

While checking in for my fight back to Toronto from Jardines Del Rey Airport, Coyo Coco, on January 25th Flight WG601. The agent at the counter asked me to place a very small laptop bag that was my personal item on the scale to be weighed..the item was a little over 5Kg…I was forced to pay $30 to bring this on the flight and it was treated as checked luggage. This item is very small and fits perfectly under the seat. From the airline policy small personal items are except from weight restrictions…what this counter agent did is very wrong…I hope I can get this $30 surcharge refunded. In addition None of the buttons of this app function anymore, All functionality was removed in the latest updates

Well why did I give you a 3/5 star? , well it’s not because of your employees (they are great), it’s not for your updated app ( nice) it isn’t even because we fly in outdated planes to our destinations ( made it), but it seems to resonate with the general (Canadian) population that you are the bottom of the heap in travel industry, normally I’d say you are midrange, ( not as good say as air transat) but this was a trip as in one other trip in the past where Sunwing didn’t pay for the exit fee to the DR. Our other incursion was to the DR and it also did not include the exit fee, but at least you included a glass of champagne on the flight So it appears you may have to join the rest of the carriers and include the silly exit fee with the price, Maybe this will help your image with the traveling public, oh yeah we are not Canadian
