Summoners War: Chronicles

As an old SW player, I was excited about this one, and at first, it did a really good job. Plenty of idle vs manual tasks, events and quests... until it started to bog itself down. There's so much to do in a single day you can't complete it all unless you spend over 4h on it. (I've been home sick, I timed it.) Then theres the graphics/ground clutter, where you need to see the abilities to know what's happening, but there are so many colors and shapes and no reaction time allowed it's a kaleidoscope of damage that leaves you dizzy. Let me re-emphasise those two: colors and reaction time. If you have any color definition or color blindness issues, don't bother with this game, there is 0 support for you and everything is so zoomed out it wouldn't matter if they added it, because even with highlights you lose yourself on the screen most times. Reaction time? Forget it, they'll start pitting you against 6s boss mechanics (if you're lucky) and trap you there until you give up to do some side quest or spend a bunch of resources overleveling past the mechanic. Why is 6s such an issue? Besides those who aren't in full control of their physical facilities, the game itself conspires against you, holding your character in place while you use an ability or adding stun/freeze/web mechanics to make you useless (despite you being the only one who reacts to mechanics within your summoned team). So, in a word, this game is FRUSTRATING. I'm going to give them a little time to calm down, but might have to leave it anyway.

Okay, let’s begin with the pros of this game; first of all, the voice acting, cutscenes and gameplay are spot-on, the themes are rather clever and unoriginal, and character customization actually allows me to even play as a dark character if I want to which is a huge thumb-up that immediately kills any hints at racism as well in the mo. Controls aren’t too shabby, but they dan be somewhat unresponsive at times, which I think correlates with the graphical error as well in Chronicles. Even on the highest resolution, the graphical details mainly on the sprites and character faces, are still somewhat pixelated and the way the pixels fluctuate in the gameplay cause frequent headaches, almost as if it’s some sort of secret illusion trick. Want to keep playing Chronicles, but at the same time, I also don’t want to suffer from head trauma from the graphical issues if this problem isn’t fixed. Highly recommend if the devs fix this problem because this is an extremely elegant, well-developed mmorpg

This game has been great so far I have a account that I started first I spent some money nothing good beat story and was hard to progress locked at like 150k power. Then I made new acc f2p. I utilized fire fairy, water Garuda, and wind pixie. In the 7 day login they give these units. They are easily summoned also the monster story gives some dupes for awakening. They surpassed my team of nat 5s on a paid acc. I finished story with 0 trouble or lost battles. Furthermore I saved a lot more resources only focusing three stars and ended with 204k power. So this game is definitely f2p friendly if you manage your resources and build teams with at least two of the above mentioned units wind pixie water Garuda and some damage dealer. It’s just so much easier with the new awakening feature to focus nat 3s and you can easily with summoning other attributes of the same monster fully skill them and evolve them. Also they give some monsters in the little side monster quests and they want you to level up a couple and give you some resources to do so.I then created a third acc and summoned 6 nat 5s so reroll your accs start as a guest and delete it after you change your name with the ticket in your inventory if you want to keep same name. Summoning several nat 5s is doable I even made another couple and off first ten scrolls got one then the guaranteed summons gives you a second. Nat 5s will not be viable till several months into the game when individuals have the devilmons to fully skill so follow Serena’s guides truly!
