I’ve written a review a long time ago. Two things : There used to be no ads. Then you added some and people complained and you took some away. Now (and have been) back for a long time. Ok - I can understand why. What I can’t understand is why there has to be three or more pages you have to hit to get out of them. Why can’t you just have three different adds let us get out of each instead. My biggest issue is that I have arthritis and it is very difficult not to hit numbers by mistake. I’m good at sudoku. Yes - I’ll make mistakes but, more often than not, it’s that I’ve hit the wrong number because they’re so close. Also - you have to hit the exact spot to do notes and since you rush to finish your time, the note button will not always light up and it counts as a mistake. Please - just make it easier to tap the note button without having to hit one small spot that makes it go on. And I agree with another person - I’ll get a great score and time and get less than the times I make mistakes and have to watch ads. Even if it happens multiple times in a row and get a better score. It doesn’t make any sense. You seem to get punished for doing better. It seems to want you to make mistakes so you HAVE to watch ads if you want better scores. Also - while I’m at it and in a roll, why is it that no matter how long it takes me I seem to be in the 99%. Again, doesn’t make sense. This has all been going on for a while now. I should’ve written back when it changed. Thanks for listening
I play Sudoku on my phone, computer and in books and I would say that this is my favorite format. The app has a clean look and is very simple to use, yet also has extensive depth and functionality accessible through settings. This allows for tailoring to suit your preferred look or functionality. The events and awards give me a reason to keep using the app and offer a sense of accomplishment, supplemented by the statistics menu. However, I keep encountering an issue that, while not detrminetal to my experience, is still mildly frustrating. The issue is in reference to the "number-first input" setting, which allows you to lock a number by tapping and holding that number, in turn allowing you to use it for multiple cells. The issue that I experience is that while I have a cell selected which has a user-inputted number (a blue number) and attempt to tap and hold to select a different number, it will actually change the number that was in the selected cell. If I press very firmly there seems to be no issue. I am not entirely sure if the problem is caused by the app or my own device (iPhone 11), so I've given benefit of the doubt with 5 stars anyway. I will say, however, that my game statistics ("wins with no mistakes" specifically) are skewed for that reason, since the app will interpret that as a mistake. I would say that this issue accounts for possibly as much as 25% of my "mistakes" in total. I would love to hear some feedback as to whether this is an isolated (exclusive to me) issue or if others have experience the same problem. Thanks, devs, for a great app. Keep up the good work.
The game has a “correct/incorrect” solving mode which I am not a fan of, I’d prefer to solve a puzzle and check at the end to see if it’s solved and allow myself to find mistakes while solving instead of just immediately getting “BRAWP WRONG”. However if you do get a correct tile and then later accidentally note or input another number, your correct answer is lost and you take another incorrect answer, if this system is going to stay, correct answers need to be locked in and unchanging. Some of these things are changeable in options, they should not be set like this to teach/learn sudoku, it’s unintuitive and promotes winning over making mistakes and learning, especially the 3 mistake limit. Next thinking about solving tools, only one set of notes that gets very in the way and is locked to a grid orientation, especially on mobile that makes some sense but I would still love a highlight tool or a way to mark cells in more than one way with the same set of numbers, it’s far easier to keep track of patterns and observations that way. Also there’s way too many ads, you will never solve a puzzle without being interrupted at least one time. Removing ads is $5 and without the other issues I have with the app I’d be happy to pay, until then they’re asking more than most apps for something I can just close and re open the app to skip. That or stop selling your space to the worst possible mobile ads that are intrusive and you can’t exit out of them.
