I’d like to preface this by saying I’d give it a solid four and a half stars if I could, but I can’t. I’ll explain a bit more on that later. Make no mistake, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed playing this. The idea is you shoot zombies, clearing the stage using as few rounds as possible. You aim, fire, and the bullet bounces around and wrecks things. It’s pretty satisfying. As others have stated, the ads are numerous and frequent. I paid to remove ads. At the time of writing, removing ads is a one-time payment of $15. I personally feel like I’ve gotten $15 worth of entertainment out of it, but I can safely say this is the most expensive non-subscription-based fee to remove ads that I have paid. It is what it is. Now, the reason I’m not giving this a full five stars: I started playing it on my iPhone, and decided to switch over to my iPad to play it. Turns out your saves don’t sync between devices. If there is an option to enable cloud saves, I missed it. If there isn’t an option for it, it would be a thoughtful and valuable addition to the game.
This game is a fun way to pass the time. The graphics are cartoony, in a good way. It’s like Ash (from Evil Dead) crossed into the world of Scooby Doo. The only issue is that the gameplay isn’t consistent or accurate. Try carefully aiming the crosshairs to just miss the edge of a wall or platform and it will hit that obstacle every time. Also, zombies don’t seem to always die when they’re supposed to, such as when one or more zombies fall on another. Sometimes it will die, other times the zombie will just stand there as if nothing happened. This is the reason I can’t get more than 2 stars on some levels. I have watched videos and played those levels numerous times with no success. Even aiming at precisely the same location can yield different results. Like I said, the game is a fun way to pass the time. But, it’s also frustrating at times. When I get to those points, I just have to close out the app and return at a later date and try again.
This is a shooting game against great looking zombies. I like the zombies, the rag doll like quality, the heads come off, blood spurts out of the neck, great fun. But the game lacks more interesting strategy. It mostly comes down to finding the right angle to shoot to eliminate as many zombies as possible. Sometimes you can kill them all off with one shot. But that often takes many trials, so you can press Reply as often as you need to. Also I think some levels are too hard, so you must use an air strike which kills all zombies but you only have a limited number of those. And I suspect you can buy more? Too many ads and ways to make one pay. I resent that and won’t do it. Overall the game is one of the GREAT ones. Highly recommended.
One man, one shotgun... and lots of stupid zombies. Those undead creatures are back, and you are humanity's last hope to keep them brainless. But bew...
