Steel Guitar PRO

This app is great it does what it claims to do. I’m a keyboard player and and think is fantastic even comparing it with much more exprés VSTs like Steel Pedal and Ample Sound’s Lap Steel and Ink Audio which are awesome but expensive and sometimes difficult to play with the many articulations included. This app is awesome, to the point and easy to play. My only wish would be that when we are using it with a MIDI keyboard we could still use the slider. I know we can use the porch wheel but it would be nice to be able to control the slides with the slide bar while playing the MIDI Keyboard. Other than that I love love love this app.

This app is amazing. As a pedal steel player Bm myself, I was more than ready to point out every little thing that was wrong with this app, but with every minute I spent playing around with it, and every little tweak of the tone, adjustment of the pedals or crying slide of the bar, I found myself more and more impressed. This is an actual emulator of a steel guitar, not just some silly midi sample bending app. There are a few very minor things I'd like such as a being able to set the volume curve when articulating with vertical bar gestures, and the amount of angle you want to tilt to engage the pedals, but that really is nitpicking. All in a fantastic app and the only steel guitar app I've ever felt was created by someone who knew what they were doing! If I could give a 6th star I would.

Please just give us a “virtual” fretboard such as the iFretlessBass plugin. While I appreciate the slidery thing (sorry, long time guitar player but I’ve never used one of those) I would honestly really like it if we could just play frets at different positions regardless of whether we are using a midi “plugin” or “keyboard” or whatever to control the AU. Besides, what’s wrong with “normal” guitar playing? Having both options would be great! Regardless, this fills a niche that needed to be filled. And it fills it pretty well especially for the price tag. A must but for guitar dudes.
