Start Rescue

I have unfortunately had to use start rescue quite a few times over the last few years. The app is easy to use, I always get rescued in a decent time and have never had any problems with start rescue. I just have problems with every car I’ve ever owned 🥲😂

I was with start rescue for some time in the past then moved to ram and last year got my van cover from them My van battery ran out I ordered replacement battery and called recovery My initial thought was like AA or Rac the driver can simply install the battery and the job will be done After 4 hours of wait driver finally arrived and said we will be charged for the battery replacement When I asked the drive can you take us to garage the driver wanted to have confirmed booking with garage , I called garage and told him about the situation if recovery called then tell him we are booked While I was in the phone with garage trying to get hold of their manager the recovery driver drove off He was more interested in getting the booking confirmed with garage before we go there Called customer services to get the update as driver lied about returning back when confirmed with garage but he called from Private number leaving us stranded for another day The customer service team tried to assure us it’s a one off incident and they can rebook for next working day when no one is available to see the recovery driver Ended up sorting the battery replacement my self with the help of someone Will never use this company again They use third party contractors who are of no help Do your self a favour and consider green flag RAC or AA

In my recently purchased van (016 plate) it blew up on a very busy slip road near Ferrybridge, I was terrified, I called Start Rescue and they were there in 20 minutes. The highway pick up man was so helpful and gave us loads of information, got us to our garage safely and was very professional. I can’t thank you enough and apologise for being a little short tempered on during the call due to fear
