I absolutely love this app! I finally found something simple that both helps my track my cycle and see why I feel the way I do at different points of my cycle. This is the perfect blend of informative and fun. Unfortunately, the app is definitely a bit glitchy. I would love to be able to add friends and see each other’s cycles, but the add friends feature doesn’t work at all! Also occasionally certain buttons stop working, preventing me from leaving the current screen. In terms of things I would like to see, I just shared the app with my trans brother (we both appreciate the lack of gendered language 💛) and while the hormone cycle tracking is still helpful information for him, it would be nice if there were options, maybe under birth control? for trans folk to log their hormone supplements as well, and hopefully a change in the chart hormone levels for them as well? just an idea. I’d also love to be able to change calendar views to show traits I’ve logged over time. However, the simplicity of this app is part of what makes it so convenient, and in no world would I want it to become so flooded with features I don’t know where to start, or that I have to buy access to the features I actually need (like some other apps on the market 🪶) TL;DR The app is simple, fun, and useful. There are a few bugs, as well as a few places that could use some development, but overall probably the most best period tracker I’ve used yet.
Update: the hormone graph is BACK! …but it’s wrong? For example, the graph shows progesterone rising and rising all the way until day 1, and then not starting to fall until day 3-4. On a 28 day cycle, your graph previously showed that progesterone peaks at day 21 and then falls heading into day 1. The graph also has an incorrect count on the number of days until my next cycle, even though I set the number in my profile post-update when my historical data went adios. I have PMDD, and the #1 thing that set this app above any other was the graph showing me what my hormone levels (likely) are every day of my cycle. Being able to see when my progesterone and estrogen are rising and falling at a glance has been BEYOND helpful for my sanity. I can’t find this feature anywhere on the new update, and I also can’t tell at a glance on the Home Screen when I should ovulate or start my next period. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring it back! I’m so perplexed by the design decisions that went into this major overhaul. I don’t care about tracking additional finite symptoms if I can’t compare them to my hormone levels for different days of my cycle. I also wish I had received some type of warning that they’d be enforcing new logins and wiping all of our historical data…I just lost 2+ years of tracking symptoms and dates with the new update. Much less important: While the new design style is fine, the old one was SO cute and felt much more hip.
Stardust is so fun and very accurate. I used to have Clue then I deleted it and when I went to download it again I found out it costs money and not a little bit either so I went on my search for a new free period app and I’m so glad I did. This app is designed with so much care and detail, it’s definitely one of my prettier apps which I love. This app is very accurate, it reminds me when I’m about to get my period. Another feature that I really love is that it shows a little chart of my estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone levels and gives me little insights of how I might be feeling in a really and what I can do to help me deal with those symptoms and all in a really fun, relatable way. The quiz is great it asks about how heavy my flow is, my feelings, and my cravings with plenty of options to match up with me. Then it keeps track of all the information of of the quizzes so you can see it in a chart. I also really enjoy horoscopes and everything so I love the fact that it tells me what kind of witch I am because of how my period cycle lines up with the moon cycle. It also gives you little tips and horoscopes according to the moon cycle. You can also share your cycle with a friend if that’s your cup of tea. But overall the app is so cute, empowering, and accurate and for those reasons I 100% recommend it!! :)
