Once before I had a calendar that used pictorial symbols, and I used it constantly. Then one day, for no apparent reason, it just disappeared, replaced by something completely different. After years now, I decided to search for another fun, useful calendar for keeping track of upcoming events. I have found it here.
I found it rather cute. It’s Japanese, of course, and Lord knows I don’t read Japanese, but it’s easy enough to figure out. I mainly use it to get a quick overview of my wife and my schedule so we know who’s working what days. I might sprinkle a little indication of holidays and such here and there. All in all, it serves a very direct purpose. What I would like though is a simpler way to apply the stickers instead of the “drag and drop” method. In the app I used to use I could activate a sticker to use and just tap on the boxes to add the stickers in rapid succession. Then again, I’ve been using “null” for years and I’ve gotten used to it.
Look I know I’m not the intended demographic for a Japanese calendar app but when a developer gives us cute stickers and stuff for ios I won’t need to guess and hope for the best I’m tapping the right thing. I love this app it’s adorable. I just wish I had taken Japanese classes so I could understand it.
