Squabbit - Golf Tournament App

I’ve been running a Tuesday Night League with 18 two-man teams for the past 5 years, and managing scores, standings, handicaps, and everything else by hand (or clunky spreadsheets) has always been a massive headache. I finally started using Squabbit last week, and it’s been an absolute game-changer — a huge time saver! I spent the last two months testing it thoroughly with my Saturday skins game, and it passed with flying colors. Setup was straightforward, the live leaderboards work flawlessly (everyone loves seeing real-time updates), and it handles our team formats perfectly. The handicap calculations are accurate, notifications keep players in the loop, and I no longer spend hours after each round crunching numbers. For anyone running leagues, weekly games, or tournaments — big or small — this app is fantastic. Completely free with no ads or limits, and it just works. Really happy Reddit lead me to this app. The fact that this app is free is baffling as generally speaking it has more features and functionality then most of the other paid popular golf apps out there. I used Squabbit to run our first annual Ryder cup formatted golf leauge this year with individual and team events, as well as a full golf leauge with team events and an individual fedex cup. The app worked flawlessly. I will say - there is a slight learning curve and it may not be the most intuitive app in the world, but if you dedicate just a bit of time to learn the in’s and outs, it really is a game changer. Orrie and his team not only provide this app for free, but the service and customer support is better then any customer experience I have really ever had with any company - let alone a free app. All emails and inquiries are responded to generally within 12 hours, all by an actual person. Small bugs are fixed quickly, new features are always rolling out, and they have been very kind proactive from what I can tell to user feedback and feature requests. If your looking to start running a golf leauge, a fundraising event, a golf trip with some friends, or even just a casual game of skins with friends - congratulations! I run a work golf league and through researching options for moving our league management solution out of labor-intensive Excel, we came across Squabbit. Our format is 2-person team match play, and we were able to also add an additional individual stat tracking format, which folks are really enjoying. One of the best features we are taking advantage of is the live leaderboard - we’re able to track progress of matches in realtime. It also means that we as league organizers don’t have to spend hours entering scores. It also handles handicap calculations and tracking very well, with GHIN and USGA index calculation integrated. We were able to enter previous years worth of data to take the handicap calculation going forward. We needed to add a couple of features to manage pace of play and higher handicappers and Orrie and team were super responsive and added double par max score and pickup options to match play format. This reduced the amount of manual score manipulation we needed to do to ensure hole points were accurate. The league members also enjoy the stat tracking and GPS functionality. Many of us have converted to using Squabbit instead our usual apps. They also post photos from their round that we will be using during our year- end league review. This app has been transformative for our league and we’ll be using it for years to come. Thank you again Orrie and team!
