SpotCam

I’ve had two of the cameras for a few months now and I really wanted to like the setup with the app. After updates and even contacting support at one point, I can’t really say that I recommend these products. This app is plagued with crashes, freezes, and stuck just trying to load when trying to replay a recorded event. It’s actually kind of frustrating. I’m going to be looking around for a new setup and ditching these soon. Before anyone wonders, it’s not the internet at the location of these either. That was the first thing I checked from top to bottom.

Just set the camera up and it’s working fine. Thought it was weird there were no reviews here so I wanted to leave one. I bought the Spotcam Eva 2 and like promised, it comes with a year of free 24 hours backlogged recording. As far as I can tell the live recording is pretty immediate and maybe like 720p. Audio quality is rough but it’s there. Not hd by any means but totally serviceable.

Pros: it works, fairly easy to set up, durable, all the buttons and features seem to work at least on my phone. Paid only 40 bucks. Cons: very slow! By the time the live video pops up they have already left and no one is at the front door! Lol also when it sends me a notification that the doorbell has been pressed it shows me a video. I press play to watch the video and it takes me to a live video stream, not the recorded incident. Most of the buttons are extremely hard to see at least for me very small and almost the same color as the background, ridiculous! I’m already looking for another brand because all the features I thought I was purchasing cost extra 30 to 50 bucks a month per feature again ridiculous!
