Spite & Malice - Classic Game

The free version of this game includes three choices of skill level — easy, medium, and hard. The paid version includes a fourth level called “spiteful,” which I assumed meant it would be extra hard. But after having paid for it, I’m wondering if it really means, “We will take your money just to spite you.” I signed up for the paid version because the “hard” level on the free version had become too easy. But in the “spiteful” version, the app makes frequent, idiotic moves which allow me to win. It plays cards which would be considered amateur moves. It doesn’t play cards that would block me from winning. Basically, the app just lets me win a lot of the time. I didn’t pay for a more difficult version so that the app would let me win. Also, the paid version includes all of the same annoying advertisements as the free version includes. There is no way to take ads out of this game, even if you pay for it. I understand that app developers need to earn money somehow. But if they are going to charge money, they need to provide something of substance to the people who support them. I feel cheated.

I still like the game but have been very frustrated lately. Bugs are frequent and advertisements are too often as well as sometimes difficult to get out of. I really am ready to give up playing Spire and Malice for good! My mother introduced this card game version to me years ago. She loved it and we played every visit. I was so excited to see an app for it! I play it daily and haven't tired of it (as I have other games). I wrote the above comment a number of years ago. Am still playing when this apt works. Many times I get to where I tap to get started and NOTHING happens. I’ve deleted the apt three times but even when I get another it has the same problems! Now the number of ads has increased to the extent I am NOT GOING TO CONTINUE PLAYING THIS GAME. I even deleted the app and got another thinking it would be better. it was not. I play a number of other games and you have double, if not triple, the number of ads. IM FINISHED TRYING-GOOD BYE! Get rid of those stupid ads! I’m sick of seeing them over and over. I don’t think anyone reads these comments so why am I writing them?
