Spell Grid : Word Jumble

My only issue with it is that when it first came out there were a ton of spelling errors. They’ve improved on that, but there are still spelling errors and weird ones at that. Randomly sometimes they’ll have the phonetic spelling of a word but they don’t do that for all words. You better know how to spell the word that represents Hebrew alphabet letters, but they only do this for the Hebrew alphabet. There are also a bunch of Hebrew words, but not even regularly used words are included at times. They forget about plural words at times. Learn all of the names of various types of money/coin even in obscure cultures. It’s interesting and I have learned things and new words and such, which is a plus. I had a traumatic brain injury following a period of hypoxia due to my heart stopping for several minutes and this and doing various quizzes and such have helped my brain recover much more quickly. I also recently had a concussion so immediately started playing this more often and started doing the quizzes (on something else) and have noticed a huge improvement in my memory and recall of words and even my headaches have improved a little. Overall, a good app, but they need to stop with the phonetic spelling of random words, remember to include plural spellings of all words, and maybe do a spellcheck on everything else. Also, why not include all alphabets?

This is one of my favorite games. I’m only playing against myself, I’m not a truly competitive person. This game keeps my mind busy and occupied. I love being able to make seven letter words to get the magical five points! And it doesn’t have a time limit, you can play until you make your 500 words (!), or decide you don’t want to continue with the particular game. I do always play to 500, and do try to make my final score bigger than the last! It’s FUN, AND ENGAGING!

Newest update has a huge white window for its definitions which totally hides the spell grid and distracts the user from the game. It rudely disrupts concentration and focus. I used to love this game and usually played it many times a day, but that may change till this eyesore is changed back to the original small definitions window. Too many of the words are not in general usage, being archaic, obscure or highly specialized. If you happen to be an international banker who minored in the botany of other continents, you'll do great!qqqq On a positive note, the definitions are great, though the words may be abbreviations, odd spellings, obscure scientific terms, plus commonly used words in normal vocabulary. ***If the developer reads these comments, please return to the small definition windows which didn't totally disrupt the game play!!!
