Spades - Offline

A couple of alternate rule options are nice—and more than most Spades apps provide—but can’t outweigh the awkward UI and really baffling computer AI play. For example, I had taken a nil bid, so the priority for my partner was to ensure I made my bid. I had the lead to start the game and played something fairly low and West played a higher card. Great, I was off the hook. My AI partner, however, used their ace of that suit to take the hand. I assumed they only had the ace of that suit and didn’t think twice about it, until a few rounds later they led with a much smaller number of that suit. Like, what? What if I ended up taking that round and we’d lost 100pts? This was far from an isolated incident where the AI misunderstood what our prime goal during a hand is and made a baffling play as a result. So this version of Spades is for casual play only, and even then only if you need one of its rule options.

I had another spades game that I liked but they changed it and I gave this a try. It's fun & free, but as other players have said, your partner sometimes steals your trick and you end up losing the hand. Also, the scoreboard is hard to read because there is so much information.

I really like this app but it also has your partner going over your trick like a lot of the others. I have always played that when you are winning a hand your partner throws off whenever possible. All of the apps I have played do the same thing. Is there a fix for this? It would be nice to have a partner play with instead of against you. Other than that it's one of the best I've played in a while.
