I love this app. Trust me it’s everything you think it is. You can download recordings of classical music and listen to them with no WiFi. This helps in the car for someone who doesn’t have data. It is 100% free and requires no payment. The only downside is that to download the music you have to watch ads to get sonata coins, which then you can choose which app to get at the price of usually 45 coins. No real money is used however. There is an option for a $5.99 per month subscription to automatically download all of the songs at once but again, it isn’t required. Anyway, definitely download this app. It’s exactly what it advertises and I couldn’t be more satisfied with it.
It’s true, and I believe there’s published research results that have verified the hypothesis that listening to classical music encourages and cultivates a focused mind. Keeps me creative (Thinking outside the box), and on track to power out a project to completion. Normally, I have to ‘Will’ myself to avoid various forms of procrastinatory behaviors. I’m coping with ADHD every day and sometimes I could slap myself because I know intellectually what I’m doing. But emotionally I can’t help myself from welcoming distractions. It’s like I can watch myself, looking down from above the room. Now, here’s the con section of my review. I get emails and text messages from the developers or whomever reaches out to users of the app. Informing me and others about the daily or weekly option of listening and/or save said ‘freebie’. I’ve had this app for years now ~ approximately 4 years and I’ve yet been informed how to access, or even just listen to the teaser. I’m sure it encourages more sales, and consequently more usage of the app more frequently. I’ve emailed them a few times over the course of the last 3 years and I’ve never gotten a response to my questions. But you better believe they pop up with a request for me to rate their app, and to declare whether I’m happy or not with the service. I’ve combed through their website searching for a phone number or any customer service portal, or email address. I’ve even sifted through the FAQs section looking for the answers I seek. Apparently, I’m not a worthwhile person, not a keeper so to speak. I’m very techno savvy, so I’m thinking that since their website reveals their true love is developing and playing the games they’ve made available to visitors to their website/gamers who have downloaded one or more of their gaming apps. So, communication skills/or priorities to their classical music subscribers seem to be sorely lacking. So, I’m fine with the 10+ music sampler I received the first time I launched the app on my iPad. But I also feel as though I’m missing out on expanding my toolbox for a focused being.
Definitely a great app. I love all of the classical music it provides. All the music you have, you can listen to without wifi. And when you exit the app, the music keeps playing. You can "buy" more songs without having to actually pay. They provide ways for you to get sonata coins. I use it for reading, studying/homework, and simply for entertainment. Oh and sometimes when I have a hard time sleeping, I use it to lull me to sleep. It's free and it's never glitched or shut down. There are literally almost no ads. Which is hard to find in a free app. I can definitely say this a quality application majorly under appreciated, it's that good. Reliable, fast and free, can't get better than that.
