If you are having trouble connecting the Wi-Fi, make sure the date and time is set correctly on the inverter. This is a major omission in the setup directions for both the inverter and the app. It took hours of troubleshooting before stumbling across this priceless piece of information on the Internet, and then within a minute, all of our problems were solved.
It does work with my lvx6048, but stops showing the solar input at noon everyday. Also in the inverter screen it says W but means kW. Wish you could do more as well. This is just to monitor where the electrons are flowing, nothing else.
