SnapPlan: Contractor Estimates

This app has great potential. I’m a flooring installer, and I was hoping it would help me complete measurements faster and more efficiently. It does help to a certain degree, but there are still some major flaws that need to be addressed. The biggest issue is with the final floor plan. You measure each room individually, but when the full floor plan is generated, the rooms are not arranged the way they actually are in the home. For a flooring professional, this is a huge flaw because the overall layout is very important. The app also struggled with smaller rooms and made some measurement errors in oddly shaped rooms. I really like the concept and see a lot of potential, but it’s not quite reliable enough for professional use yet. I’ll give it another try in a few months and hopefully these issues will have been improved.
