Smokin-It Wifi

Used this for the first time today for the break in burn. Discovered that the timer bell is always muted. I would think this is a pretty important feature that is needed for timing. The app also showed I had forty minutes left in my burn. Five minutes later it was finished. I bought this wifi unit so I don’t have to babysit my sausages. Now it looks I’m going to have to. Very disappointing.

I got my 70 year old grandpa this smoker as a early Christmas present to smoke some sausages for Christmas. Today we went to set it up and spent 3+ hours looking up what to do and doing what is told us to do only for the app to not work and connect to the smoker. This app is a hunk of junk so don’t bother downloading it the best thing to do is to set the temperature manually and sit by it all day maybe enjoy a couple beers as you cook

App works well. You can monitor the temp of the smoker and the 2 other food probe temperatures from the app. You can change temp and other parameters from the app. In fact, you can set up 6 steps/temps from the app. It all works well. However, the user interface is a bit clunky. You can find everything but it certainly isn’t super intuitive. All this means you’ll need to read the manual.
