SKAI - NOAA Weather Radar

The app after 3 days will not open. Click on it and nothing happens. It has to be deleted and reinstalled. Th info in the app would be great although it will not load. Just a black screen. It's on beta 2 a fails miserably. If it's fixed and works I would purchase it. The developer responded personally and explained new version would correct issue. I installed it and can now enjoy all the program offers. Kudos for a quick,reply also.

The app is quick responsive and the interface (buttons, layout, display, & user tools). Are better than most other weather radars and easy for use. However the fees for continued use of the app are kinda ridiculous. The yearly isn’t bad but only if it truly allows a monthly charge, even so I’d only pay like .25 cents a month. Anyway here’s the BUT it forces you to accept a free trial with a pending 4.99 charge or the yearly if that’s what was selected when you accepted the free trial. I’m done testing the app out and deleted it. I’m trying to find where I can cancel so that it doesn’t automatically charge me. The devs don’t make this obvious which leads me to believe it’s by design so they can get away with you $5. I’ve check the setting section in app I’ve check the apple app itself and checking my manage subscriptions there and nothing pops up. I’ll be highly upset if I get a surprised charge for 4.99 After I’ve already removed that appt

The radar is pretty good but I can say that for most all weather apps. The problem I have with this one is on the radar “layer” starts with what happened 45 min ago and counts 5 min. intervals to current time, that’s it! In order to see future direction of the storm is to change the layer to which gives a long timeline view forward and doesn’t give any visual or feel like it’s a continuation from the current state of weather so, by the time your done looking at that, you’ve now forgotten where you left off on the current timeline and then have to switch back to the other layer. Just put the timeline at the bottom and give an option to move it! maybe a dropdown box on the main user interface, heck I don’t know. I have no clue what the point is for having a Basic vs Detailed precipitation layer. All of the most controls on the main screen without having to switch layers. I’m no app creator and I’m sure the people who write the software are much smarter in ways that I am not, but common sense seems to be on the forefront of what’s missing in all apps these days. Living in Oklahoma all my life I’d say I’m pretty familiar with what could be useful for me in a weather app. I would imagine it’s pretty mutual across the board. I paid for the subscription and the free apps available are much better and will be going back to. Ya’ll have a good’n now.
