Sidus Link Pro

I don’t typically write app reviews, but after reading previous reviews I felt I should tap in with my thoughts. First off, this app says “pro” for a reason. It’s not just to control lights wirelessly and make them change to pretty colors. It is immensely more than that and was built for people that are ready to expand on production lighting at an affordable cost. For me, I own several different brands of lights along with Aputure and Amaran that I want to have control of all at once. So for me, CRMX, was the way to go. Also creating presets and key frames for lighting transitions was also essential. This does all of that with no issues, at least in my experience, and more. I get the frustration that you spend money on a light, so why pay more money? But that’s not the purpose of this app. It’s built to compete with Blackout and other control systems that are a lot more expensive. If you want to just wirelessly control a light, there are other free apps for it, like Amaran or Sidus. But this will take your lighting to a pro, production level, like it’s helped me do. If you’re in that space, I think it’s a more affordable option over Blackout.

Hi guys, when I open the app, it immediately crashes and closes. Doesn’t even last 2 seconds. It’d be lovely if this was resolved since I’d be able to use it on my Mac. Thanks

This seems like such a massive omission. I don’t understand why Sidus Link Pro can’t create cues with both DMX and Sidus BT lights. I had to download the AMARAN app to get what I wanted because Quickshots in regular Sidus Link load extremely slow. Maybe I’m missing something bc I’m not a lighting technician by trade, but it seems like these apps are missing some major common sense features Additionally, running Sidus BT lights through the Sidus One box appears to introduce some lag
