I gave 1 star because there is not an option of zero star. Not sure about the Chinese version, but the English version of the app is literally broken.
It does not accept passports as a form of ID which is odd since Shanghai is a very international city. If you have a passport you have to continue to top up your card and have at least 10rmb in your account at all times, even if the fare you are taking cost less than that. It should be that the fare is charged automatically from your wechat or Alipay as it is for those with a Chinese ID card.
Worst experiences ever. Silly functions, takes too much time to open it. Just don’t understand why you don’t use the simplest way such as NFC. Touch ID not supported either! Have to wait until the Bluetooth is turned on and the software is open. Just see how many people waiting in front of the gate. Don’t want to say more about it. Deleted it already.
