This Shabbat alarm app has quickly become one of the most reliable and thoughtful tools in my weekly routine. It’s beautifully designed, easy to set up before candle-lighting, and works flawlessly throughout Shabbat without requiring any interaction. The alarms go off exactly on schedule, with tones that feel calm and appropriate for the day. The interface is clean, intuitive, and clearly built by people who understand the practical needs of an observant household. After years of juggling timers and imperfect solutions, it’s refreshing to have something that simply works—and works well. It adds a real sense of ease and confidence to Shabbat mornings and reminders. If you keep Shabbat, this app is a standout. Dependable, respectful of halacha, and a pleasure to use. Highly recommended.
The Shabbat Alarm Clock app has truly been a game changer for me and my family. We have all embraced this innovative app, allowing us to wake up on time during Shabbat and holidays without compromising our religious observance. I also had the opportunity of sharing my thoughts and suggestions with the developer Daniel, and he proved to be incredibly approachable and receptive. He attentively considered my feedback, striving to amplify the app's functionality. With the Shabbat Alarm Clock app and its dedicated developer, we have found the perfect solution for our waking needs during these sacred times. Wishing you all the best!
The app works exactly as you'd want a Shabbat Alarm app to. It's very easy to set up. I give it 5 stars and recommend it. One plus that sets this app apart from other similar apps is that you do not need the app open for it to work; in fact, the app can be "swiped away" and it will still work. Another great feature is the shortcut that allows you to set the date to 1, 2, or 3 days into the future with a click. Although this is not "necessary," I think it can be very useful. I think it's very common that many people are setting their alarm "a minute before candle lighting," so this "quick set" could be useful in that situation. The one down-side: you need to have your volume on and Do Not Disturb deactivated. This is not a huge deal for Sabbath observers, bc you're not using your phone anyway, so you can just turn off cell/wifi service; but it's still slightly annoying. Also, if you have reminders, they'll vibrate/make alert noise - since your phone is on volume and DND is off. It would be cool if this alarm could work like the native iPhone alarm and "override" the system's muted volume and DND. So far as I can tell (although I may have missed something) there is no way to set the alert to "vibrate only." If your volume is muted, you will get only a single buzz. Again, this is not a huge deal, but a "vibrate only" option may be useful if you share a bedroom and don't want the loud ring to wake anyone else in the room, or for whatever other reason you just want a "vibrate alarm" to go off. Overall, I give this app 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone looking for a Shabbat Alarm app.
