Sell books with World of Books

i think your service is great! The box always arrive on time and the quality is always what it says is on the website. The prices are fair and I really appreciate that options for the sales and clearance.. One thing that I would include to help improve or make the app even better is having a wish list alert service. when I have a man of the books that I wish to purchase have a lower price or a used copy has been coming in stock alerted. there is often times where there’s a book that I wanted that is a full price that I’m unable to afford at the time and it would be great to put it in my wish list and that if it has come available of used or half the price or on sale and get notified, I think I would make more purchase!

Just a heads up to others if you’re considering using this. I bought a bunch of books at auction to flip. Googled book resale services found this place. Got on the site punched in some isbn’s - most offers were $0.28 but good enough. Then I see they have an app and you can scan barcodes for offers. Sweet! Scan 18 boxes of books, get my offer, pack, print 3 labels for 3 boxes. Go to drop off. They take 1 box bc they’re all the same label. No biggie. Email the company (bc that’s how the labels were sent to me) asking for 2 more labels. This is where the 1 star review happens. They give me automated “reset your password level advice” that I try, doesnt work, I explain what’s going on, new rep signing off emails every time, no continuity, no understanding of the seemingly simple issue. This happens over and over and over and over. No matter how I try to explain they can’t provide anything useful. I’m now 26 email exchanges deep, over the span of 2 weeks just to get 2 shipping labels. Needless to say, I’m going to my local bookstore. It’s been like talking to a brick wall with a smiley face painted on it. Have to imagine this doesn’t happen to most people but just a heads up that it can.

This website is an absolute joke, please do not be scammed into sending them your books. I sent them a brand new book that was only used for one semester and was in perfect condition upon sending it to them, no rips or damage, nothing. They then decided to tell me that they couldn’t accept my book AND not only this, they weren’t going to send my book back either. This last part really angered me as college student, as this book could have been easily donated or given back to the school I purchased it for someone else to use, it was in perfect condition. Instead the company decided they are going to recycle the book for you and you will not be getting paid. Customer service is a massive joke and essentially replays the automated message back to you without actually giving you the reason why your book was declined, just that it didn’t meet their “terms and conditions.” I seriously wonder how they are still in business as this seems to be a reoccurring issue among their previous users. To be perfectly honest, I will never use this service again and I strongly recommend others to not use it!! Look into your colleges that you bought it through for sell backs and then if it’s rejected, AT LEAST YOU GET YOUR BOOK BACK!!!!!!
