Seek Thermal

I finished a wiring job on a new cabin today and performed some electrical load tests, using the Seek Thermal Compact I bought maybe six years ago for numerous thermal images important to the quality assurance of my work. I was using an iPhone 13, which shouldn't have been an issue. But the Seek Thermal app crashed so many times that I lost count! So if you see a growing chorus of complaints about this app, it might be a good idea to take both notice and corrective actions. Let me see an UPDATE, and MAYBE I'll consider upgrading to a new Seek Thermal Nano.

I’ve got an iPhone 13 pro max. This camera is the original one called the compact, and it works great on my iPhone 7plus, but since it’s easier to hold the phone upside down during use, the control icons and the image would invert on the 7plus, but won’t invert on the 13 pro max. I’ve contacted support twice, first time almost a year ago, and they thanked me for notification of the problem, but no update yet. Now it’s another year gone by, and no response or update. Sorta glad I kept my iPhone 7 Plus. How do you expect me to upgrade to a higher resolution camera if this one won’t allow updates? UPDATED REVIEW- It’s now been an additional year and still no update to address this problem. I’m running ios 15.7 now on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I had to downgrade my review to one star in light of poor response and lack of support.

I work in residential construction and my Seek Compact has worked for 5 years across multiple iPhones. I started with an iPhone 6 plus, then a 7, then an 8 and now an 11. Everything worked correctly on my iPhone 11 last Sunday, February 9th. I ran the app and took photos as a test run prior to a client inspection scheduled and everything worked great. Today, when I set everything up for my inspection today, in front of my client, disaster struck. After rebooting the phone twice and reinstalling the app, I was able to get the IR imager and app to work for twenty minutes and took about 12 photos. Once I had to set my phone down it was all over, the phone locked and it all stopped working again. Please fix your software! I have loved the simplicity and reliability of your product and have always sung my praise to everyone in my field over your competition, but now I find myself questioning that decision.
