Scary Horror: Escape Room Game

this app is great for the most part, except for two different clues. the first is in level three, when you get the necklace from behind the picture and hang it on the wall to show the light reflect different colors and shapes. mine showed clear as day, the blue octagon, green circle, and yellow diamond. i plugged that into the mini game on the next screen and it was not working. i finally gave in and looked at a walkthrough which shows blue square, green diamond, yellow circle. i tried that instead and it worked. second is in level 5, when you arrange the symbols that the man has on his arm on the door to unlock it. i again had to look up a walkthrough to see the correct order of symbols because they were in a different order on the man’s arm than they ended up being to complete the game. that was very frustrating, but other than that, great game!

I like the challenge this game provides but the problem lies in the math questions. Why are they algebraic? Sure the mind set of the developer is “adults play this game so they’re smart enough to figure out algebra just fine.” But some all adults are not able to do this because of learning disabilities and do people without learning disabilities don’t want to sit down and take the time out of their day to solve a math question due to either not liking math or they got off work and want to play a game that they can have fun and relax with an enjoyable challenge such as an escape game. If you have math questions in your game you should keep it to a minimal skill level of needing to count on your fingers or use mental math not needing to bust out the protractor and pencils. Another problem is where is the option for purchasing no ads? The AppStore says it’s an option but I don’t see it even when they claim it’s a bundle with the 20 hints and when I purchased them the ads continued anyway!!! Another issue is why aren’t the in app purchases available in the Home Screen? That makes no sense. And the hints are convoluted as another reviewer had said. Instead of replying to the people who complain about these problems just fix these issues. Otherwise it appears that the app or game is in still in beta.

Just kidding. I enjoyed most of this game, it is very challenging without being totally frustrating. That is until you get to the weird math problems. Seriously...who figures these out on their own? Also, playing this on an iPad I discovered one of the math problems, the one with the triangles, had one of the numbers covered by something like a hint button. The math puzzles are very convoluted. Also, The screen is so dark making it impossible to find some of the clues and I had to use a walkthrough. I loved the adorable monster in the attic. There were also lots of things I liked but I feel those items mentioned need to be addressed. I will play more of your games. Thanks for making them available at no cost.
