I loved using this app in Oslo. Intuitive and functional, it is everything you need for navigating the area. When we went to Bergen we had to use Skyss, which was a significantly worse app interface and functionality.
This app takes all the guessing out of travel in Oslo. You can put in a route and it will tell you what ticket to purchase, or if you buy a zone pass it will tell you if your ticket is valid on that route. Additionally, when traveling out of your zone, it will calculate the additional zones needs to purchase. For example, when going to the airport. don’t use the Flytoget for airport travel, use this! Flytoget was USD 23 from airport to city but using this was only 11 USD, and it’s the EXACT same amount of stops.
The new app looks more modern but the travel routes it gives just don’t make sense or reflect timed bus connections that well, so will suggest routes that take 30 minutes longer than necessary. It also has very poor walking directions when trying to connect from one bus/tram to another. I essentially only use it to see when my late bus is actually arriving. Otherwise quite fussy to use with a thousand buttons that make simple tasks feel overly complicated. Hopefully improves with time since it’s so new :)
