Runic Formulas & Book of Runes

This app (like so many Norse spiritualists, and I’ll never be able to understand why) only champions the Elder Futhark, which is not the only Futhark that’s pertinent to Norse Paganism; and it’s especially not contemporarily pertinent to the Viking Age in Scandinavia. This doesn’t bode satisfactorily for those who may wish to use the Bindrunes Designer feature to craft a bind of, exclusively, contemporarily Viking Age runes; because you would need to use the YOUNGER Futhark to do so, not the Elder (use of the Elder Futhark writing system predates the Viking Age, where they transitioned over to the more simplified Younger.) While I’m on the topic of the Bindrunes Designer, the fonts for the Runes that you can populate your graph canvas for needs to be changed. There should be absolutely no curved lines or semi-circles in any of them. All Runes were carved, painted, or etched in nothing but STRAIGHT lines — because the writing method itself almost always relied on a canvas of wood or stone contemporarily. There was no paper or parchment for the Vikings and/or Vendels, so their writing was nigh-always comprised of characters that were written with straight and easy to carve/etch lines. There’s no reason that Raidho should look exactly like the letter “R,” or for Wunjo to look exactly like the letter “P” as you would type or write them out in a modern setting. I’m sure I’ll find other points of criticism, but I don’t mean any of this to be malicious or contrarian. I’m hoping this is all taken with the constructiveness I intended.

I got this app when I started to get into Norse mythology. it was at its basic stage where you had all the runes and stuff, but I’m seeing things growing, which I absolutely love. Not only do you have every rune to learn from but you have how to pronounce it what element and Deity it is connected to. and now you also have some information on each one of the deities as well. You can also create your own bind-rune. as well as look at some of the ones that are already there and no their purposes and what individual runes are in that one. I will continue to use this and go through the runic journey over and over as I learn more every time I do so. This is also great for anyone who has memory problems like myself so I do have kind of a cheat sheet to go back and look at.

I’m new to the practice of runes and this app explains everything clearly. I was able to begin using them immediately (the more simple formulas for now of course.) I am familiar with divination using tarot and my birth chart so I was able to see the correlations immediately so I know the runes are extremely accurate. At least for me they were. So way to go developer for a wonderful app! I recommend this highly to anyone interested in learning the ancient art of runic divination! Ps: I also downloaded your tarot divination app which I enjoy as well! Come Friday (payday) I will be paying for the full version of the runic divination app! Thank you!!!
