I used to love this app, and the product itself is fantastic. The issue is that recently it is sending constant notifications that the vacuum is low on battery and needs to charge, but it's fully charged and on the charger. I'm not sure what happened or why it's doing this. I even changed notification settings and it's still sending constant pop ups to charge it. It's extremely annoying.
The app worked great for about the first year I've had it. Now within the last couple months, it occasionally says either the vacuum is offline, or it takes forever to get a connection or load the maps. My router and Wi-Fi are fine, shows a great connection on my router app. Definitely seems to be an issue on the Roborock side. Very disappointed.
Was skeptical about buying a robot vac, possible damage to doors, woodwork and over all performance. I did look on Vacuumwars/youtube and that really helped for a choice. I didn’t want a vac/mop so there are fewer choices. 2 bedroom carpet 1 bedroom hard wood and rest of home hardwood flooring/tile, many area rugs and open concept home. Approximately 2150 sq ft. It takes almost 2 hours for my house. The app is incredibly easy(64yr old lady) and was nervous if I could figure it out. You can zone areas out like under table/chairs that it struggles with, or set up certain rooms cleaned not whole house. I vacuumed day before as a test and the dust bin was completely full the next day. It does need cords up like under side tables or you can zone it out. Not sure I would go away for now while running cause it has gotten stuck(my fault) and needed my assistance but I’m still learning. I did buy extra washable filters, bags and side brush to have amazon(Roborock store). After 5 times I have rinsed the filter and dust bin. (Need 2 days to dry) I take filter outside and blew it out after every time that helps. It does help keep your house picked up that is a bonus for us(shoes, socks etc) The reason for the purchase is I’ve had both shoulder cuff repairs and we have a very hairy black Labrador. I cleaned the house the other day while it vacuumed and it was so nice. I would recommend this vacuum and Roborock
Aaaaggghhhhhh! I really like this little vacuum, and it works well. But about every third time I use it I have to reconnect, and then sometimes when the app updates I have to log in again (who remembers a vacuum password, which isn't auto saved?) and also reconnect. It's a little bit like having to assemble a regular vacuum every time I use it.
The Roborock S7 is Sheraton robotic product, consisting of a vacuum and a mopping system combined into one device. The Roborock App allows for dividing an automatically generated map of a single or multilevel home into rooms for selective cleaning. This is a must if a home is large enough to require several battery charges to clean all areas. A section for scheduling allows selection of one or more rooms (or locations) to be cleaned in a group. A great feature is a live map which shows the route that the robot follows, making it easy to monitor the cleaning performance. Likewise, the ability to designate “invisible walls,” “no-go” areas, and the location of rugs and mats greatly customized the functions of the robot. The program allows for great control of the robot. Areas that could be improved: editing the map into different rooms can be somewhat challenging, but it is accomplished by your persistence. You might run into a limitation in the number of rooms permitted, but consolidation of two or more rooms into one area will work around this easily. Lastly, an area can be designated for spot-cleaning, instead of having to clean an entire room. All in all, the Roborock App is a worthy part of a very good robotic vaccuum and mopping product, and I highly recommend it.
I’m so obsessed, I’ve attempted to convince everyone I meet to buy one. Talking about dogs? Houses? Food? Sickly grandma? The weather? Work? I don’t care what the conversation is, I’m gonna somehow try to convince you the Roborock will help you with it plus some more. If I could afford it, I’d hand them out as Christmas stocking stuffers. In fact, every time it goes on sale, I send the link to people to try and convince them to buy one. Although I’m extremely disappointed Black Friday didn’t make me want to fight someone for one, I am still happy with my purchase. I am convinced if this thing could go up and down the stairs, it would be the ultimate floor cleaning weapon that would also scare all burglars as I haunt them from my tiny robot vacuum. I regret nothing about my purchase. You should get one. Seriously. I take a nap and my floors are clean. Does a better job than my husband even if it doesn’t get the corners. (Don’t forget the specific brand cleaner. It’ll void your warranty if you use any others).
