RoadCam

The camera looks like a great little camera but you cannot turn the date/time off. The config lets you change formats, but not turn it off. So I attempted to try using yhe RoadCam app. I turn on the network on the camera, connect up that WiFi on my phone, click the camera to connect to the camera and after a few seconds you get a popup message saying “Kindly Reminder please connect the WifFi cameras” The WiFi is from the camera and should be connected because the app displayed the network name under the camera icon. But I cannot access the camera. I went to the product help link, and it eventually sent me back here. Not good!

Why must the app start recording when I connect to the camera? This causes an endless loop of trying to stop the recording so that I can access the stored recordings. This ends up needing several reboots of the camera and connecting the WiFi. Usually takes about 30-60 minutes just to get to the recording before hoping that it can actually transfer the recording.

Have had this camera and app for about a year or so. At the moment no issues with the function of app or camera - not long ago I was hit by another car from behind and I was lucky to have kept distance to the car infront avoiding hitting it, yet this camera didn’t show anything of that. Conveniently it recorded the minute before and after the accident, so I wonder about the usefulness of them both. Other reviews state phones freeze but mine hasn’t in all this time (iPhone)
