Looks like it hasn’t been updated since 2001. The thing is also way too sensitive so it’s nearly impossible to get the Rhyhtm right.
I feel like this is a 2.5 star game but I’m an exhausted, biased high schooler so it’s might be more. It’s definitely not the worst but 1) when the player continually gets a note wrong the app should sound out the actually note as an example for the player. You can’t move on unless you get a rhythm right which makes coming upon a note you’ve never seen before absolutely catastrophic. You’re forced to try and figure it out on your own, all the while losing a countless amount of points because the game won’t let you move on. 2) if the last issue was unfixable, then when a player continuously gets a note wrong, go down a step or SOMETHING. It’s not ?? Cool? Right? Whatever, to force someone into continuously playing a pattern when they clearly don’t understand it (and once again they lose a multitude of points trying to figure out something they can’t get past isnt worth it). Go down a level or change the rhythm and then try again later or something. 3) there’s some weird thing where if you get a rhythm wrong the game will let you keep playing and then tell you that you got it wrong and force you to do it again. dONT DO THAT. It’s so unnecessary. Playing the whole rhythm only to learn you got something wrong and be forced into playing it over again just wastes time. Cool, got it wrong, don’t make me play the entire measure for absolutely nothing (“it’s for more practice!1!!” I can get the practice when I do it right, Karen). There was more but I’m too tired and grumpy to try and remember. Regardless, this was all in school mode, I don’t know if it differs in practice mode, but the sheer amount of frustration this game gives me doesn’t make me want to find out.
I think every student should have this app it’s so good!!
