Read Scripture

I really appreciate this app. I found it during this surge in AI and have found that reading the Bible through this app combined with having AI to ask all my questions to (with a deep critical eye to its responses) has really opened my eyes about the Bible and completely shifted my relationship with scripture. I’m also able to piece together historical details and really get a sense of biblical times and God’s purpose and intentions. I feel this is really important in today’s world where god and the Bible are really being trivialized. There are a couple of things I wish for: 1-a scroll feature on the side so I can see how much of the section is left to read. 2-the ability to check off chapters as I read them. I get that these chunks are meant to be read in one sitting but life means i usually have to break it up more than that. Not to mention, I really go in with AI and have some deep and specific questions so it takes me longer anyway. So I’d like to not have to scroll through 4 chapters m trying to remember my place each time.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, this app!! The videos are absolutely AMAZING and are so incredibly helpful. I have been studying the Bible, in and out of formal theological training, for many years, and I learned many things through the videos. However, I’m only able to give it 4 ⭐️ for two, what I consider to be somewhat major, shortcomings. First, you are unable to copy, highlight, or make notes about any texts that you find impactful as you read and study. This was very disappointing, and limits the app to just being useful for straight reading, not meditating on the Word. Second, and perhaps more annoying, the arrangement of readings for each day were usually fine, but occasionally it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever! The worst one I found was after reading two short chapters of Malachi on back to back days, you’re then hammered with the first TEN chapters of 1 Chronicles the next day. I like the idea of putting Chronicles at the end of the OT, but was it really necessary to schedule TEN chapters with 40 to 80 verses per chapter all in the same day? I found several places throughout the reading plan similar to this. Very short reading days followed by very long reading days. It makes for a much more fluid devotional time when the daily reading takes at least somewhere close to the same amount of time each day. I almost quit and switched to a different reading plan after 1 Chronicles. I would recommend this plan, and especially the videos to everyone, but I’ll be sure to look ahead IF I ever use it again, and divide up the daily reading volume a bit more evenly from day to day.

I give this 5 Stars. A really great app. Probably the best for reading the whole Scripture. Our whole church is going through this right now. We started in January. At the first of the year, one always knew where we were because the Psalms number was the same as the number of the day of the year. That is Feb 28 was day 58. This only works if you start at the first of the year. A lot of people do not. In the second half, if you got behind and were trying to catch up, it was hard to know your target, and it was hard to get in sync with the rest of the Church. May I suggest: when one starts the app, inter the date and add a calendar to the program so you can refer to it and keep up, knowing where you should be. Also the videos are so tiny I have to use a magnifying glass to read them. Please allow us to enlarge them. Maybe you could allow a full size print out of the visual, as well, (or a video download). Allow us to highlight and copy and paste a passage for memorizing. Other then that you deserve SEVEN stars. God bless you and your families.
