This app is amazing. Me not knowing anything about bipolar disorder I am becoming informed. Some other reviews say there’s a lot of reading. It is organized information that is useful and important for people with Bipolar Disorder. I emphasize that you can indeed track your progress. I struggle with bipolar disorder and mania and I have been looking for an effective mental health app. This app is great and a perfect fit for me. Thank you to the creators
This app sounds really cool on paper but once I got on there and started poking around I realized there is a lot of reading and that’s about it. I thought it would have a place to track my highs and lows and mood and other bipolar stuff. Instead it’s just pages and pages of stuff I already have in books or already know and practice. This app could be awesome if the devs got their act together and dug a little deeper and created an app where bipolar folks like myself can feel safe and seen and not overwhelmed. This app is incredibly overwhelming for an app that has so little substance.
PolarUS is an incredibly thoughtfully crafted tool for anyone managing bipolar disorder. The app is rich with *bipolar-specific* resources that reflect a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals living with the condition. What truly sets PolarUS apart from other bipolar and mood tracking apps is its innovative approach to improving daily living for those with bipolar disorder. The quality of life rating system isn't just a superficial feature; it's an evidence-based tool that provides actionable insights. This personalized approach helps me better understand their condition and take proactive steps toward a more balanced life. For example, I’ve been focused on Thinking and Money lately, because that’s what matters to me. I feel heard and supported by this app because I know the app was developed with peer feedback, meaning they asked real people living with bipolar disorder to weigh in at every step of development. The app offers a wealth of global resources, many of which I have never encountered while searching for bipolar support online in the US. New resources are added periodically, integrating into actionable areas of life to focus on, making the app continually more relevant and beneficial.PolarUS is backed by science. The app’s foundation is firmly rooted in research, with pilot studies showing successful results that continue to guide its development. Moreover, it's great to know that there are still active studies being conducted to further improve the app's offerings…you can even opt-in to participate right in the menu!PolarUS is unlike any other bipolar or mood tracking app I’ve used. I have recommended it to friends and providers alike, and I believe it has the potential to make a significant positive impact on the lives of those dealing with bipolar disorder. I have already utilized many downloads and learned a lot about bipolar and how it shows up for me in the process! I love this app! Highly recommend.
