I love Monocle and it feels like this developer does too - you can feel it in the design and care that was put into this app. I would love if they made a CarPlay app 🤞
A clean app that gives you 2 choices: live now or up next. Up next will take you to the web menu that also has the “shows” header so you can scroll and choose the latest episodes of your favorite program. Would be slicker if the “shows” page was a third option on the app interface (wish list). The app also supports a shortcut to direct play the Monocle live stream. It’s quick, it works & I appreciate it.
For those of us who listen to and appreciate Monocle Radio (formerly Monocle 24) which broadcasts from London and Zürich, this is a much needed app. I am using it on my MacBook Air as well as my iPhone and iPad though for some reason, it doesn’t work or cannot be seen on CarPlay - which is really where I want it. I would enjoy a Mac menu tab to trigger it and perhaps some more of the meta data for programs and music added in future builds. But am very pleased this is available.
