While this periodic table lacks the bling of some of the other periodic table, it is the only one that provides quick reference to the most commonly used items on the table. This makes it by far the most useful one available for quickly referencing molar masses. In addition to the general table, that can be pinched to zoom, press and hold gives access to more general info. My only problem with the table is that is is little more than a scanned image of someone else's table. This causes pixelation at high zoom and should be replaced with a vector version, but more seriously I question whether the developer actually has permission to use the image.
This periodic table app seems serviceable enough. Overall, a good alternative to the back cover or your high school chemistry textbook. Characteristics provided for each element are plentiful, but the "What is...?" blurb is underdeveloped. The one for silver, for example, could talk about it's naturally occurring isotopes being nearly equally abundant. The attempt to list practical applications of the elements is good, but falls short. Osmium, for example, has none listed, though it is the densest element and is often found in fountain pen nibs and routinely used as a contrast agent for electron microscopy. There is a prettier periodic table app out there, with photos of the elements, but it doesn't have nearly as many useful physical characteristics.
Anyone that said this app wasn't worth the .99 didn't explore it well enough. The table is great and the list view has tons of information. Perfect for my 10th grade chemistry class.
