PainScale - Pain Tracker Diary

Couldn’t recall how this app really was set up. After I had to restart my phone because it froze on me, many of my apps were reset and auto-passwords were deleted. Tried usia different pain app today that records intensity and supposition about how the next days pain will impact me but the visual placement of pain is mainly centered _ I love that that you can do left and right sides, front & back as well as quality of pain on PainScale. I also like that you can add meds & triggers & symptoms. I’ll put forth effort into making a decent comparison of some of the pain apps- I am able to log many symptoms as present or not or the exact day or time frame, but iPhone wants exact times for taking all medication & I am not up to ‘exact,’ and at the level of ‘taken or not taken’ with an addition of reason- maybe I can set one up on the iPhone like as a symptom. I also like the education piece. C.D.

I downloaded PainScale because I really liked how they have preset areas you can tap, plus a 1-10 scale with descriptions that correlate to colors on the body map, and also the different types of pain. This is such a great thing. Unfortunately, I find the abdomen and lower back preset regions to be too limiting. I’m trying to track my endometriosis pains so I can more easily find when it is something else. For example, I didn’t realize I had a kidney stone because I thought my ureter pain was just a new ache. I know many women with endometriosis take awhile to spot apendicitis too. It would be near perfect if there was an expanded abdomen chart.

So I have to keep track of my cancer pain. It’s in my bones among other areas in my body. My pain management dr needs to understand the issues better than my brain dead answers the day I see her give. This app takes care of everything about the pain records I need to keep. It goes into great detail so that I may have the answers directly bob hand. During this pandemic, when my Drs appts are strictly done by video, this is perfect so that I can have the info right at my fingertips. It also helps when my wife needs to understand how bad it is for each day and understand when the breakthrough pain takes control and I need to seek emergency care. This is an amazing app. It should be shouted from the rooftops to help all suffering from any pain.
