Packingdom

I LOVE this game. It keeps me entertained and the different difficulties throughout the levels are amazing. My only downside is I think the tapping sensitivity is TOO sensitive. Sometimes I’ll tap something, and another object that wasn’t even next to what I tapped will be selected (and yes I’m aware of some objects are on top of another, you have to get that one first) but that’s not what I’m referring to. It doesn’t happen every level but it happens. Other than that, no complaints!

I play a lot of different mobile games and get bored easily, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much I’ve enjoyed playing Packingdom! The art style is really adorable and the setting for each level is unique enough that the gameplay still feels exciting after 250 levels. Every so often you’ll come across a scene that is a spoof for an instantly recognizable piece of popular media, set in the Packingdom art style, and you can’t help but smile! Plus, the developers are consistently adding new levels, so there’s always something to look forward to. There are a few small issues that prevent me from giving this game a full five stars, but they still don’t stop me from enjoying the game. First, it’s always a pain when any game makes a level that is impossible to complete without using a booster or an add-on. Unfortunately, that also occurs sometimes in Packingdom, where the completion of the level depends on your ability to use boosters or helps, rather than pure skill or ability. Second, I love that nearly every level is a new setting, but I was surprised to find that there are a handful of repeat levels throughout the game. I would rather have every level in the main progression be unique and have less levels overall, than coming across a level that I already played. It could be fun to have a scene selector option where you could go back and replay your favorite level, independent of the main game. And third, probably the most frustrating aspect overall, is when the item in the scene doesn’t match the image in the packing box. The biggest issue with this is the inconsistency. Sometimes you’ll be trying to find a character or an item, and the pose, color, or layout will be different from what you’re looking at in the box. Other times there will be items that are super similar, but the game is counting them as different objects. It’s annoying when I’m searching through every pixel of the scene to find an item, and the issue was that the item looks too different between the box and the scene. Or when I think I’m picking the item that matches the one in the box, but oops, it’s actually a different item that looks nearly identical. I don’t know if it’s a bug or the way the developers intended, but either way, I’m not a fan. Overall, a great game with a few little quirks, but I’d definitely recommend giving it a try!

First and foremost, it is a fun game. It’s a nice premise and easy to understand. There are just a few improvements that need to be made. There are way too many ads. I know that there is an ad free buy on but I feel like to play for free there’s way too many ads. I don’t think there should be ads when you have to restart a level or in between EVERY level. Every 2 or 3 levels would be more appropriate. If you are going to have levels that literally require you to use coins or power ups in order to beat them then you need to make those items easier to obtain. If I were developing this game I would give more coins after beating hard or super hard levels. I would make obtaining power-ups easier or make them cheaper, maybe giving power-ups after every “chapter”.
