Onlit: Read Good Novels & Book

I like the app , and gets to read it for free with the frustration of watching ads. Since the three weeks I have downloaded the app the reading is slow due to ads, and I’m muddling through one story yet. The story I’m reading has a lot of twists, and turns. The writer’s aim is to stretch the story with several scenes of the mistress confronting the wife again, and again. Why doesn’t the wife avoid the mistress when she knows how vile she is? One other thing I don’t get is that the wife saves her husband, and the husband thinks that it was the mistress who saved his life. If the story doesn’t end soon, I think I will have to give up reading on this app. I think I won’t bother to read other stories.

It appears I am not able to post a one-star review, suspicious. So I will make this 5 stars simply to ensure it gets seen. Lots of reading apps like ths out there, though this one has pretty poor interface design and even poorer honesty. Each book is likely more than 500 4 page chapters, since authors get paid by volume, not quality. You could pay $60 and not get halfway through a book. Plus, you only get two chapters for free (you watch two ads each free chapter, but I’m fine with that as an alternative since paying over $150 isn’t feasible for like. Literally anyone on earth right now except the 1% rich, and they are not using these apps.) and after that you have to wait 2 days. I like the book I’m reading, but unfortunately the author has fallen into the “quantity over quality” trap and the chapters are as short as 4 pages, which seems common with every book available. If I am unable to watch ads to read for free, I will simply uninstall.

I’ve read several books on this app since downloading it three weeks ago, so overall I’ve had a good experience. There are some spelling and grammar errors, but nothing too surprising. My main issue is the coin system. It’s frustrating that coins are still deducted for chapters I skip. If I’m skipping a chapter, it’s usually because the content is repetitive or overly detailed. It would be great if coins were only charged for chapters that are actually read. Aside from that, it’s a solid app with a good selection of books.
