If you have ever wondered what’s hidden in the meaning of your dreams at night as you lay asleep, this may very well be the app you have been seeking. If you have started keeping track of what goes through your mind as you drift off to dreamland, this may very well be the app you are seeking. I had previously used a different method for keeping track of my nightly dreams, and while it did its job by allowing me to do just that, this app goes above and beyond by explaining the possible meanings behind what those dreams could possibly mean. From what I could understand, the app works primarily with the help of artificial intelligence. When you write down the details of your nightly escapades, the app reads the details of your journal, and breaks it down into what you might get if you had your own personal psychologist. I don’t know how accurate it is for everyone, and every type of dream you have, but for me, anyway, I really like what the results come out to be. Well worth the yearly asking price if you ask me. If you have, or had looked through a number of different paper based journals on this topic, you have probably found what you are looking for without thumbing through different sections to try to piece together a possible solution. This app seems to cover it all.
My entire life, I have used journals to record my dreams. I’ve downloaded many apps in the past in order to make journaling easier, but have always found myself returning to using pen and paper because the apps didn’t do me any justice. However, when I discovered this app, everything changed. Everything about this app is perfect: the beautiful layout, the UX design, etc. What really stood out to me was that this app includes dream interpretation based on key words/themes you use. Usually, you have to find a separate app for dream interpretations, but this app has everything you could ever want! I also love that you can add a picture to your dream. The visual element of the picture really helps me remember my dreams. You can search up basically any word, and then choose from a plethora of pictures until you find the one that matches your dream. I find it really helpful. Lastly, the app has a security passcode feature so you don’t have to worry about anyone snooping through your dream journal. Anyway, this app is amazing and I love to scroll through the journal and revisit old dreams. I look forward to using this app for all of my future dream journaling and can’t recommend it enough!
Hey so this app really doesn’t do much but make the process of writing down dreams more complicated at least for myself, I paid for the full version in hopes that it would actually be able to offer me some sort of like “what your dream means” but so many of the objects that are in my dreams that are REGULAR household objects are not in the system. Like scissors? Weird, also though the interface is ok, the use of appropriated imagery of the dream catcher in the apps logo is very off putting and further digs this hole of regret I have for purchasing the full version. Please consider a rebranding that doesn’t grossly misrepresent Native American culture to be played off as an “aesthetic” choice. With no about us I cannot see who the developers are and or decipher their intentions with this design choice. Just like.. do a net with a moon in it or something, there are better ways for you to display the nature of “catching dreams” (which is another issue that stems directly from the misuse of the Dream catcher, I’m sure you can make the connections. I’m not saying you should shut down the app, but really do your research if you have not already to learn what you’re actually projecting and how it negatively impacts your perception and validity as a brand that will stand the test of time. You’ll get away with this because you’re gonna ignore this, that’s what you’ll do, but had I been a little bit more aware of what app I was downloading, I wouldn’t be here. Consider it.
