NYSSA Snowmobile Trails

Like how it’s very easily color coordinated and labeled to understand the map and like how it gives you information on the trail about what the name is and what club maintains it, also that if there is a hazard or trail closed it says it on there

Technology has really come a long way and this app is a perfect example. My favorite feature is how you can set the destinations and it will develop a route for you…just like in Google Maps. I ride in several other states and they are using this same software so consistency makes it that much easier to use.

This app continues to improve every year. But it seems like it lacks one big thing that should be simple to add - audio prompts during turn-by-turn navigation. (Unless I am just missing it. I have not used the 2024 version out on trail yet…). With audio it can be used “heads up” with your phone kept warm in your pocket and connected to a helmet communicator or a wireless earbud. Even something as simple as “turn approaching” would be helpful, but I see no reason why this app couldn’t speak simple directions like every on-road navigation app does.
