This is an awesome app, it integrates maps with your GPS. So you can download a map of the national park and it will put it up where you’re at. Looking at a map and thinking is this where we are or is this where we are, it literally shows you where you are if your iOS device is receiving a GPS signal. I believe it originally gives you a few downloads of maps free, after that it’s something like $.99 for three months of unlimited downloads of maps (and I think even stay on there after your subscription ends). I have used it before, but I just recently used it At crater Lake and at the Redwoods and it worked excellent. It can download a layer of some kind of local topographical maps too.

Great overall. There’s not much of a guide how to use it, but play around with it before you leave and you’ll be fine. The price is a good value. I used gps + maps to find distances and used the topo maps to get a sense of what was ahead. It made my trip at glacier national park go smoothly.
