This pillow was my attempt to avoid a C-PAP as I am a light snorer but concerned it’s impacting my quality of sleep. It worked fine the first week and then kept disconnecting from the WiFi network. Attempts at contacting Nitetronic support have not been effective - despite their 1-year warranty. Huge waste of money
App requires location services to be allowed, which seems highly unnecessary. Then, even with that allowed, it refuses to connect the device to WiFi, and without that, the app serves no purpose. I’ll try the pillow without using the app, but this is not a good start.
The app keeps forgetting the pillow and not notifying me. I do not check the data every day so sometimes I’ll find out that it had been not working for nearly a week without me knowing. The process of adding is annoyingly protracted and has to be repeated in its entirety every time this happens. The grammar is just awful and it is clear that the menus were not proofread. Sure, it is legible, but it is a necessary companion app for a rather expensive piece of tech. This does not inspire confidence in the product. Finally, it’ll record snoring when no one is in the room. Loud snoring too. One time, it inflated like crazy while I was laying down reading. The data then showed an epic snore where there had been none. So, there are definitely false positives. False negatives are more difficult to test for but this makes me very much doubt that the app and the pillow are doing anything useful.
