NASM CPT Fitness Prep

I find this product to be downright deceptive and not worthy of being on the app store. The CPT questions are consistently, deeply flawed, poorly constructed, and edited. Many questions are simply wrong. Ironically, for students who have been studying diligently, putting in the time, and taking the regular quizzes and tests in preparation for the exam, this app ultimately detracts from the prep process, creating a great deal of confusion and poor confidence in what was actually learned. Please do not use this app to prepare for the NASM-CPT.

I wish I could include a photo. I was using this a lot and getting things wrong and didn’t understand why. When I went back to the text… it turned out… the app was INCORRECT in a few cases. Example: Question was “Which 2 variables make up training volume? Choices are; Time under tension & rest periods, Resistance & sets, weight & resistance, and reps & sets. The correct answer according to the app is “reps & sets.”. HOWEVER…. according to the CPT 7 text “Training volume is the sum of repetitions performed in a given set during each training session multiplied by the RESISTANCE used.”. There was another one and it had to do with a “built” environment…. and the reading for the answer didn’t make sense or align with what the text said. I paid for the upgrade and then canceled after the first month! i’m better off making my own flash cards.

I just started using this app and took a couple quizzes. I only reviewed the questions I got wrong, but for those, it did not have my selected answer highlighted. It had another incorrect answer highlighted in red and the correct answer in green. This makes it difficult to compare my actual answer with the correct answer. Canceled free trial and won’t be using this to study.
