Mystery Box 3: Escape The Room

Bought the “Premium pack” for all four games thinking less money and easier to move through games. WRONG. Finished first set and when I got to the second set could only play first two boxes then wants me to pay $4.99 to keep playing! Tried to “Restore Purchase” but just has the screen blink on and off. On a good note, I contacted support and they promptly replied, twice, but after showing them the problem they said it was an Apple Store problem (within the app??). Said if they (Apple) charged me they would refund on PayPal. Ok but what happens on the third set, then the fourth…. What a pain. Repeat and request refund wait and track. Repeat. What a pain. The game is ok and nice time waster. Nothing too deep. I want to keep playing and would not give 1 star except for the restore purchase problem. Another issue is that the game does not remember your progress (except completed ones). If you start a box and are part way through and stop you need to start all over. Also does not even translate that over to a different device, start all over for all. Used to be games connected through Apple and always remember but not here. They said the last two games of the series do have a “memory” of progress but not the first two. Seems like they would fix that. Not sure what I am going to do for this second set just don’t want to pay and wait for a “ refund”. Especially to have to repeat that for two more. Frustrated.

Absolutely love all of the games, I have completed each level of each game. However, that being said I have not been able to get past the butterfly part where you try to figure out the position of the levers on the level 10 of this game. I reached out to the developer and got advice on the wrong part which I had already passed, could’ve been my fault so I am still extremely confused on how to get past this level and it’s driving me nuts. Other than that one issue I’m obsessed.

Overall I enjoyed the game; nice graphics and the puzzles weren’t too difficult if not entirely intuitive every time. However, the Unsolved Historical Mystery on Level 8 wouldn’t open. I’ve tried numerous iterations and even looked online for a solution. The videos I watched came to the same “solution” as I did, and it wouldn’t open for them either. Maybe I’m missing something? Level 9 is also quite finicky about finding the right spot to click for the final puzzle. Level 10 is particularly challenging and I've not yet solved it (nor have many players, apparently!) Additionally, double-clicking to get closer to other puzzles was tricky at best. I’d prefer the controls to be smoother. Nice game otherwise. UPDATE: I, like others before me, reached out to the developer for a nudge in the right direction at the end of Level 10. Turns out it was a rookie mistake I was making, very embarrassing once I saw it! And (spoiler alert!) the Level 8 Enigma can indeed be solved, but I needed a better pair of reading glasses to identify the error as the font in the solution box was hard to distinquish between caps and lower case letters. I really appreciated the developer's quick, kind and attentive responses. Great customer service with a fun little puzzler with nice graphics--thank you!
