People love the HAI/Leviton panels primarily due to the fact that when you bypass a zone it stays bypassed until disabled. Most other systems require the tedious bypassing of each zone every time you arm the system. With Myro Home we now have a terrific iPhone/iPad app to take advantage of a terrific alarm system. Installation was easier than I thought. Using the help feature of this application I was surprised to discover that ALL of the parameters you need to set up the app are available on the HAI/Leviton keypad! A few hints that I discovered. If you want to install this app on another device using your existing subscription it’s easy to do. Look for “Restore Purchases“ in small print at the bottom when installing on a new device. If you want to change any settings or parameters later, double tap on the name of the system and you’ll be directed back to the original settings screen. I discovered this by using the excellent user forum where you can ask questions and received prompt answers. Excellent support from the software author. Highly recommend.
After many years struggling with Haiku, Space, and kludgey HAI software, I finally made the purchase to my:ro home and I feel like an idiot for not doing so eons ago. First of all, the app is outstanding and provides an amazing level of control and access that just has been absent from every other software program ever available for HAI systems. I often hated my HAI system because I struggled with these awful software programs to control it from my phone… And now I finally have an amazing app that does everything needed and I can hate HAI for the right reasons such as being tortured and killed by Leviton. Secondly, I just had my first support experience and it was world class outstanding! My profession is customer service leader ship so I know of what I speak, and if anything I am more hyper critical than the average consumer because this is my craft. The support provided when I reached to them was outstanding in every way: it was friendly, fleet, and accurate. I left the contact feeling happy, and though the reason I initially hesitated to purchase the app is because I am resistant to subscription software models but this experience converted me and convinced me the subscription investment is worth every single penny.
Anyone who used to run Haiku prior to the product being discontinued knows what a clean and intuitive user interface it had. It was *the* iOS app to use to control your OmniPro / Lumina system, and it was a sad day when the product went away. It’s been awhile, but we now have an outstanding replacement for Haiku! Myro:Home will look extremely familiar to anyone who has used Haiku, but it has a more modern look and feel, and it even has an Apple Watch companion app! Myro:Home (in conjunction with Myro:Home Helper running on your iMac, similar to how Haiku Helper extended Haiku) also allows you to use Apple’s HomeKit to control your system, which completely changes the way you will do things such as turn on/off lights. You can now literally just raise your wrist and tell your Apple Watch (or your iPhone) “Turn on the family room lights”. If you liked Haiku, you owe it to yourself to try Myro:Home. The developer is himself an OmniPro user, and he is extremely receptive to user input. The OmniPro user community is not a large one, so we are extremely fortunate that we have a completely custom app as polished and professional looking as Myro:Home. I use it on my iPhone and iPad Pro, as well as several wall-mounted iPads in my house. The product has been rock-solid, it’s easy to set up (as with Haiku, Myro:Home automatically downloads your system configuration from your OmniPro), it’s fast and very responsive to your commands, and it looks fantastic. When you consider how much you invested in your OmniPro system, it’s a no-brainer to buy a subscription to this app and update the user interface to your legacy system without having to buy any additional hardware.
