Love this app! I actually use it for task lists also! The only additional feature I would like to see is the ability to sort items that are crossed out separate from items not crossed out.
This app has all the features I want in a shopping list app. Unfortunately, it frequently loses my list items. I primarily use a list shared with my wife that we both add to over the course of a week. I’m not sure if it’s the sharing, editing of a list item, or reordering of the list that causes the instability; but fully half the time it will revert changes, reorder the list, or lose any number of items. (I’m about to rebuild a Thanksgiving list for the third time.) I would absolutely love this app if it functioned reliably. Had similar issues before the recent big update. Would appreciate advice from the developer on how to fix the issue or use the app differently, but wasn’t able to find contact info... thus the review.
This is a Great app and I have used it for several years without problems. After the most recent major rebuild requiring deleting old app and reinstalling the new one - I just could not get it to work. Long story short, I contacted the developer who is Very Responsive and after my third attempt I finally got it right and it works great. The down side is I lost all my “Customized Item Entries” what I have now is a pretty thorough “Smart Suggestions List” (provided with app). I need to Customize most entries with brand names due to family members with severe allergies to Soy, Casein in Cows Milk, and Gluten. Every item I purchase requires that I read ingredient labels to avoid these allergens. I pretty much already know which brands to choose and where they can be purchased but it’s frustrating to have had an app that was working before - after several years of customizing item entries - to have to start over with recreating hundreds of hours of work just lost due to an app upgrade. It is what it is and I do appreciate the assistance provided by the developer to get the new app installed correctly and synchronizing correctly with other family members I share several lists with. Just a heads up to anyone sharing lists with others - Don’t share by “AirDrop”! If you do it will time out frequently when syncing a list you share. AND it will then only update when you are in close proximity to each other. INSTEAD share any lists using Text Messaging or Email so the the connections will work remotely over WiFi and 4G Cellular services on your phones.
